Mountain View station (NJ Transit)

Mountain View station is a commuter rail stop on the NJ Transit Montclair-Boonton Line, located in Wayne, New Jersey. The station serves the Mountain View neighborhood, and provides service to Hoboken Terminal and New York Penn Station (via transfer at Montclair State University station).

The station consists of two low-level platforms serving two tracks. A small shelter is present on each platform. There is a large parking lot available for commuters. The station is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Mountain View station is a popular stop for commuters heading towards New York City, due to its proximity to major roadways and ample parking. The station is located near U.S. Route 46 and Interstate 80, making it easily accessible by car.

The station's name derives from its location near the Preakness Mountain section of the Watchung Mountains. Service to the station is provided by electric trains, primarily during peak hours. Off-peak and weekend service is often handled by diesel-powered trains to/from Hoboken Terminal.
