PNS Tippu Sultan (D-185) was a Tariq-class destroyer of the Pakistan Navy. Commissioned in 1994, it was formerly HMS Avenger (F185), a Type 21 frigate of the Royal Navy. The ship was named after Tipu Sultan, the 18th-century ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore. After being decommissioned from the Royal Navy, it was sold to Pakistan and underwent modernization before entering service with the Pakistan Navy. It participated in various naval exercises and operations during its service life. The vessel's primary roles included anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and air defense. The ship was eventually decommissioned from the Pakistan Navy.
