Stadlau

Stadlau is a district of Vienna, Austria, located in the 22nd district, Donaustadt. It lies on the left bank of the Danube River.

Historically, Stadlau was an independent municipality until it was incorporated into Vienna in 1938 as part of the creation of Groß-Wien (Greater Vienna) under Nazi rule. After World War II, Stadlau remained part of the 22nd district, Donaustadt, following the readjustment of Vienna's city boundaries.

Stadlau is primarily a residential area, though it also features industrial and commercial zones. Key features of Stadlau include its proximity to the Alte Donau (Old Danube), a popular recreational area, and its connection to the Viennese public transportation network, including the S-Bahn and bus lines. Stadlau also features various schools, shops, and local businesses, serving the needs of its residents.
