His Majesty (band)
His Majesty was an Australian indie rock band, formed in Perth, Western Australia, in 2004. The band was fronted by Tristan Fidler (vocals, guitar) and also featured Al Campbell (drums), Timothy Nelson (guitar, keyboards, vocals), and Nic Owen (bass).
The band's music was characterized by its melodic songwriting, intricate arrangements, and use of harmonies. They were often compared to bands such as The Shins, Pavement, and The Beatles.
His Majesty released several EPs and two full-length studio albums: Cellophane (2007) and Are You Listening (2010). They toured extensively throughout Australia and also played shows internationally, including appearances at festivals such as South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
The band disbanded in 2011. Members have since pursued other musical projects. Timothy Nelson went on to form the band Timothy Nelson & The Infidels, and Tristan Fidler has released solo material.
