Lew Brice

Lew Brice (1893-1968) was an American vaudeville performer and comedian, primarily known for his partnership with his brother, Fanny Brice. Born Louis Borach in New York City, he entered show business alongside his sister and became a successful stage entertainer. While often overshadowed by his more famous sister, Lew Brice carved out his own niche in comedy, often performing in a more physical and slapstick style. He frequently toured and performed in revues and musicals, both independently and with Fanny. Although he never achieved the same level of stardom as Fanny, he maintained a long and active career in the entertainment industry, contributing to the vibrant world of early 20th-century American theater and comedy.
