Andre Brown (running back)

Andre Brown (born January 26, 1987) is a former American football running back. He played college football at North Carolina State University and was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Brown's NFL career was marked by both flashes of potential and significant injuries. After being drafted by the Giants, he faced challenges cracking the roster and seeing consistent playing time due to competition and his own injury struggles.

He had his most productive season in 2012, rushing for 385 yards and 8 touchdowns in 10 games, demonstrating a powerful running style and effectiveness in short-yardage situations. However, his career was repeatedly hampered by lower-body injuries, including multiple ankle and leg issues, which ultimately limited his longevity in the league.

After his tenure with the Giants, Brown also spent time with other NFL teams, including the Washington Redskins, but he was unable to replicate his 2012 success due to continued injury problems. He officially retired from the NFL in 2015.
