Claire Polosak

Claire Polosak (born 6 April 1988) is an Australian cricket umpire. She is notable for being the first woman to umpire a men's One Day International (ODI) match, which she achieved on 27 April 2019 in a match between Namibia and Oman in the final of the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament.

Polosak began umpiring at the age of 15. Prior to her ODI debut, she had already established herself as a leading female umpire, having officiated in Women's ODIs, Women's Twenty20 Internationals, and other international matches. She has also umpired in domestic cricket leagues in Australia.

In 2021, she became the first woman to umpire in a men's Test match, serving as the fourth umpire in the Test between Australia and India in Sydney.

Polosak's achievements have been recognized globally, and she is considered a pioneer for women in cricket officiating. She has inspired many aspiring female umpires and continues to be a role model in the sport.
