Moskva (Almaty Metro)
Moskva (Kazakh: Мәскеу, Russian: Москва) is a station on Line 1 of the Almaty Metro in Kazakhstan. It opened on December 1, 2011, as part of the first stage of the Almaty Metro system.
Located in the Auezov District of Almaty, the station is situated between the Alatau and Sairan stations. The station's design is inspired by the city of Moscow, the capital of Russia, reflecting historical and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Russia.
The station's architecture features elements reminiscent of the Moscow Metro, including the use of marble and other decorative stones. The platform is an island platform, allowing passengers to access trains traveling in either direction from a central platform. The station includes elevators and escalators to provide accessibility for all passengers.
Moskva station serves a primarily residential area and provides access to various local amenities, including parks, schools, and shopping centers. It contributes to the overall transportation network of Almaty, offering a convenient and efficient mode of public transit.
