Morse Field (Hawaii)
Morse Field was an airfield located near Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. Established prior to World War II, it primarily served as a training facility for naval aviators and as a support base for aircraft operations in the Pacific. During the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Morse Field was targeted by Japanese aircraft, sustaining damage and casualties. Following the war, the airfield was eventually decommissioned, and the land was repurposed for other uses. Its historical significance lies in its role in pre-war naval aviation training and its involvement in the events of Pearl Harbor. Today, little remains of the original Morse Field.
