Mark York

Mark York (1965 – May 19, 2021) was an American actor best known for his recurring role as Billy Merchant in the American television series The Office. Billy Merchant was the property manager of the office park where Dunder Mifflin Scranton was located.

York, a paraplegic since 1988 following a car accident, often used his experiences and humor to portray the character. He appeared in several episodes of The Office across multiple seasons, starting with the second season.

Beyond The Office, York also had guest appearances on other television shows, including CSI: NY and Fighting Words. He was involved in various acting workshops and continued to pursue acting opportunities.

Away from acting, York worked as an inventor and had two patents. He resided in Ohio.
