Moose Mountain (federal electoral district)

Moose Mountain was a federal electoral district in Saskatchewan, Canada, that existed from 1908 to 1997.

History and Boundaries:

The riding was created in 1907 from parts of the provisional district of Assiniboia East. It was located in the southeastern portion of Saskatchewan. Throughout its existence, the boundaries of Moose Mountain shifted to reflect population changes and redistributions, but it generally encompassed communities such as Carlyle, Estevan, Oxbow, and Moosomin.

Representation:

Moose Mountain elected one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons using the first-past-the-post electoral system.

Political Landscape:

The political landscape of Moose Mountain varied throughout its history.
