CHRO-TV
CHRO-TV is a Canadian television station, broadcasting in the city of Ottawa, Ontario. It operates as an independent station, owned by Rogers Sports & Media. CHRO-TV broadcasts on channel 13.
The station's history dates back to 1961, when it began broadcasting as CJOH-TV, an affiliate of the CTV Television Network. CJOH-TV remained with CTV until 2016. Rogers acquired the station in 2002.
In 2016, Rogers announced that CJOH-TV would disaffiliate from CTV and relaunch as an independent station under the new call letters CHRO-TV. The change took effect on February 7, 2016.
CHRO-TV's programming lineup consists of a mix of local news, syndicated programs, and Rogers-owned sports content. The station focuses on providing content relevant to the Ottawa region. CHRO-TV also has a local news department producing daily news broadcasts.
