Mohammad Abbas (cricketer)
Mohammad Abbas (born 11 March 1990) is a Pakistani international cricketer. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler known for his accuracy and ability to move the ball both ways.
Abbas made his first-class debut in 2009 and played domestic cricket for various teams in Pakistan, including Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL). He earned a reputation as a consistent performer at the domestic level, consistently taking wickets and demonstrating control with the ball.
He made his Test debut for Pakistan in 2017 against the West Indies. He quickly established himself as a key member of the Pakistani bowling attack, forming a potent partnership with other bowlers such as Mohammad Amir and Shaheen Afridi. Abbas's performances in Test cricket have earned him recognition as one of the leading bowlers in the format. He has taken multiple five-wicket hauls in Test matches and has consistently troubled opposition batsmen with his disciplined bowling.
Although primarily a Test specialist, Abbas has also played limited-overs cricket, but his impact has been most significant in the longest format of the game.
