Mississippi Slim (born Carlee Garner, October 23, 1944, near Inverness, Mississippi – died November 25, 2023, Rolling Fork, Mississippi) was an American country and blues singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his distinctive delta blues-influenced sound and storytelling lyrics. He began performing professionally in the juke joints of the Mississippi Delta, developing a raw and authentic style that reflected his upbringing.

Slim's music drew heavily on traditional country blues themes, exploring themes of hardship, love, loss, and the Southern experience. He was a self-taught guitarist with a fingerpicking style that was both intricate and deeply soulful. He released several albums throughout his career, gaining a dedicated following among blues and roots music enthusiasts.

While never achieving mainstream commercial success, Mississippi Slim was highly regarded by fellow musicians and critics for his genuine artistry and commitment to preserving the musical traditions of the Mississippi Delta. He frequently performed at blues festivals and clubs across the United States and Europe, sharing his unique brand of Delta-infused country blues with audiences worldwide.
