Cockerell baronets of Sezincote (1809)
The Cockerell baronets of Sezincote, in the County of Gloucester, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 25 September 1809 for Charles Cockerell, a director of the East India Company. He was the son of John Cockerell, of Bishop's Hall, Somerset, and the great-grandson of Samuel Pepys, MP for Cambridge.
The second Baronet, Sir Charles Cockerell, represented Evesham in the House of Commons. The family seat was Sezincote House, near Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, a notable example of Regency architecture incorporating Mughal Indian influences.
The title became extinct upon the death of the 7th Baronet in 2015.
