Quail Island (Victoria)

Quail Island is a small island located in Western Port Bay, Victoria, Australia. It is situated approximately 6 kilometers south of Tooradin and is part of the Western Port Ramsar site, designated for its ecological significance as a wetland of international importance.

The island is primarily composed of mudflats and saltmarsh environments, providing crucial habitat for a variety of migratory wading birds, including species protected under international agreements such as the Japan-Australia Migratory Bird Agreement (JAMBA) and the China-Australia Migratory Bird Agreement (CAMBA).
