Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Malaysia)

The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (Malay: Kementerian Peralihan Tenaga dan Transformasi Air, abbreviated PETRA) is a ministry of the Government of Malaysia responsible for the policy and implementation of energy transition, renewable energy, electricity supply, water supply, sewerage services, and related climate change mitigation efforts within the country.

Its responsibilities include developing and implementing policies related to renewable energy sources such as solar, hydro, biomass, and wind power. It also oversees the planning and regulation of electricity generation, transmission, and distribution to ensure a reliable and affordable supply. Further, the Ministry is responsible for the management and conservation of water resources, including the provision of clean and safe water supply to households and industries.
