10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade (Poland)

The 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade (Polish: 10 Brygada Kawalerii Pancernej) is a unit of the Polish Land Forces. It is stationed in Świętoszów and is part of the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division ("King John III Sobieski").

The brigade traces its history back to pre-World War II cavalry units. During the Cold War era, it was reorganized as a tank regiment and subsequently as a mechanised infantry regiment, reflecting the changing military doctrine and technology.

Following Poland's accession to NATO, the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade underwent significant modernization and restructuring. It is currently equipped with Leopard 2A4 and Leopard 2A5 main battle tanks, as well as modern armored personnel carriers and support vehicles.

The brigade participates in international exercises and contributes to NATO's collective defense efforts. It plays a vital role in the defense of Poland and the security of the Eastern European region. Its primary missions include deterring aggression, maintaining combat readiness, and participating in multinational operations. The brigade also contributes to domestic crisis response and disaster relief efforts.
