Mike Tice

Mike Tice (born February 21, 1959) is a former American football player and coach. He played in the National Football League (NFL) as a tight end for 10 seasons, primarily for the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins, and Minnesota Vikings.

Tice began his coaching career as a tight ends coach for the Vikings in 1996. He served in various offensive coaching roles before being named the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings in 2002, following the resignation of Dennis Green.

As head coach, Tice led the Vikings to a record of 32-33 over five seasons (2002-2005). He was known for his colorful personality and sometimes controversial remarks. He was fired by the Vikings after the 2005 season.

Following his time with the Vikings, Tice held coaching positions with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and Oakland Raiders. He has since worked as a football analyst and consultant.
