Mike Shea (snowboarder)

Michael "Mike" Shea is an American Para-snowboarder. He competes in snowboard cross and banked slalom events in the SB-UL (Snowboard Upper Limb Impairment) category. Shea lost the use of his left leg following a wakeboarding accident in 2002.

Shea has competed in multiple Paralympic Winter Games, including Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018, earning medals in snowboard cross. At the 2014 Sochi Games, he won a silver medal in the snowboard cross event. In the 2018 PyeongChang Games, he earned a gold medal in the snowboard cross event. He is also a multiple-time X Games medalist in adaptive snowboard events.

Beyond competitive snowboarding, Shea is an advocate for adaptive sports and works to promote opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in snowboarding and other activities.
