Mehdi Hasan (Pakistani journalist)

Mehdi Hasan is a British-American journalist, political commentator, and author. He is known for his in-depth interviews, political analysis, and commentary, often from a progressive perspective.

Hasan was born in Swindon, England, to British-Indian parents who emigrated from India to the United Kingdom via Tanzania. He identifies as Muslim.

Hasan's career includes roles at Al Jazeera English, where he hosted "The Café," "Head to Head," and "UpFront." He later joined NBC News and MSNBC, hosting "The Mehdi Hasan Show" on Peacock and MSNBC. In November 2023, MSNBC cancelled his show.

Hasan has written for publications including The Guardian, The New Statesman, and The Independent. He is the author of Win Every Argument: The Art of Debating, Persuading, and Public Speaking.
