Orrorsh

Orrorsh is one of the seven reality domains featured in the Torg Eternity role-playing game. It represents a reality warped by Victorian era horror, blending elements of gothic literature, Lovecraftian cosmic horror, and pulp adventure.

As a realm, Orrorsh is characterized by:

• Gothic Setting: The environment is perpetually shrouded in mist and gloom, with crumbling castles, desolate moors, and oppressive cities reflecting the oppressive atmosphere. Locations are often inspired by classic horror stories such as Dracula and Frankenstein.

• Cosmic Horror: A sense of cosmic insignificance and the presence of powerful, uncaring entities from beyond permeates the land. Madness and despair are common, driven by encounters with ancient evils and forbidden knowledge. Eldritch beings and unearthly geometries are realities that challenge human comprehension and sanity.

• Horrors: Orrorsh is populated by numerous types of monstrous beings including vampires, werewolves, zombies, and unique creatures born from the dark imagination of the realm. These horrors prey upon humanity, creating a constant sense of danger.

• Reality Disturbances: Orrorsh's intrusion into the core reality of Earth (the Cosm) causes strange occurrences. The laws of physics can fluctuate, and the dead may return to life. These "reality storms" are a key feature of the Torg Eternity setting.

• Storm Knights: The player characters in Torg Eternity, known as Storm Knights, are individuals capable of wielding reality, and are thus humanity's best hope against the encroaching realms. In Orrorsh, they are often forced to confront their own fears and question the nature of reality itself.

• Power Struggle: The High Lord of Orrorsh seeks to corrupt and conquer the Cosm. His ultimate goal is to transform Earth into an extension of his nightmarish domain.
