Matthew Murphy (diplomat)
Matthew Murphy is a career member of the United States Foreign Service, serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia since February 2024.
Prior to his ambassadorship, Murphy served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Strategy, Policy, and Resources in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, responsible for policy coordination on issues ranging from maritime security to economic growth and human rights.
