Matt Nagy

Matt Nagy (born April 24, 1978) is an American football coach. He is currently the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the head coach of the Chicago Bears from 2018 to 2021.

Nagy's coaching career began as an intern with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008, followed by various coaching positions within the Eagles organization, including offensive quality control coach and offensive assistant. He then joined the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, initially as the quarterbacks coach and later as offensive coordinator under head coach Andy Reid.

In 2018, Nagy was hired as the head coach of the Chicago Bears. In his first season, he led the Bears to a 12-4 record and an NFC North division title, earning him the Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year award. However, the Bears' offensive production declined in subsequent seasons, and Nagy was ultimately fired following the 2021 season after a 6-11 record.

Following his departure from Chicago, Nagy returned to the Kansas City Chiefs as their quarterbacks coach in 2022. In 2023, he was promoted to offensive coordinator, succeeding Eric Bieniemy.
