Martin Kelly (footballer)
Martin Kelly (born 27 April 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender.
He began his professional career at Liverpool, progressing through their youth academy. Kelly made his senior debut for Liverpool in 2008 and spent several seasons at the club, often used as a versatile option at right-back or centre-back. During his time at Anfield, he won the League Cup in 2012.
In August 2014, Kelly transferred to Crystal Palace, where he became a regular member of the team's defence. He remained with Crystal Palace until the end of the 2021-22 season.
Kelly has also represented England at various youth levels, including the under-19s, under-20s, and under-21s. He earned one senior international cap for England in a friendly match against Norway in 2012.
Currently, Kelly is playing for Wigan Athletic, having joined the club in January 2023 on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
