Mark Hobson (spree killer)
Mark Hobson (born 1969) is a British spree killer convicted of the murders of four people in North Yorkshire, England, in July 2004. He was a former refuse collector and window cleaner.
Hobson confessed to killing his girlfriend, Claire Nicholls, 27, and her sister, Anne Nicholls, 44, at their flat in Camblesforth. He then murdered James Britton, 80, and his wife Joan Britton, 82, at their home in Shipton-by-Beningbrough.
Hobson was arrested following a high-profile manhunt. He pleaded guilty to all four murders and was sentenced to life imprisonment with a whole life order in 2005, meaning he will never be released. The judge described his crimes as "wicked and monstrous".
