Mark Lee (footballer, born 1979)

Mark Lee (born September 14, 1979) is a retired English professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

Lee began his career as a youth player at Aston Villa, progressing through their academy system. He made his professional debut while on loan at Torquay United in 2001. He was then released by Aston Villa and subsequently joined Carlisle United.

After a spell at Carlisle, Lee moved to Exeter City, where he became a regular first-team player. He went on to make over 100 appearances for the club, becoming a popular figure with the fans.

Following his time at Exeter City, Lee signed for Aldershot Town. He contributed to their squad before moving on to other non-league clubs. His later career involved playing for various teams in the lower leagues of English football, including Salisbury City and Dorchester Town.

Lee was known for his work rate and ability to play in various midfield positions. He retired from professional football in the late 2000s.
