Mark Atkinson (rugby union)
Mark Atkinson (born 18 March 1990) is an English rugby union player who primarily plays as a centre.
Atkinson began his professional career with Esher, before joining Gloucester Rugby in 2014. He quickly established himself as a key member of the Gloucester squad, known for his strong running, distribution skills and defensive capabilities. He has made numerous appearances for the club in both the Premiership and European competitions.
Prior to his professional career, Atkinson played for Henley Hawks and was part of the Gloucester academy system. He has represented England at Saxons level, earning recognition for his performances at club level. Atkinson is known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions in the backline. His time at Gloucester saw him become a consistent performer and a valued asset to the team.
