Mr. President (TV series)

Mr. President is an American sitcom that aired on Fox from April 5, 1987, to April 26, 1988. The show starred George C. Scott as President William Franklin Covington III, a former governor of Wisconsin who is now navigating the challenges of the presidency while dealing with the antics of his teenage children.

The series revolved around the comedic struggles of the Covington family adjusting to life in the White House. Jessica Walter played First Lady Leslie Covington, and the children were portrayed by Madelyn Kahn as Teddy Covington, and Andre Gower as Tyler Covington.

The show aimed for a blend of political satire and family comedy but failed to find a large audience and was canceled after two seasons. While George C. Scott's performance was generally well-received, the overall writing and premise were considered by some critics to be uninspired.
