Mark Alt

Mark Alt is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Alt was born on October 18, 1991, in Kansas City, Missouri. He played college hockey for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers before being drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to joining the Avalanche, Alt played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Los Angeles Kings organizations, as well as in the American Hockey League (AHL).
