Mammalogy

Mammalogy is the branch of zoology devoted to the study of mammals – a class of vertebrates characterized by the presence of mammary glands in females, hair or fur, three middle ear bones, and a neocortex region in the brain. Mammalogists study aspects of mammal biology, including their taxonomy, evolution, anatomy, physiology, behavior, ecology, genetics, conservation, and management.
