Josh Thewlis (Australian footballer)

Josh Thewlis (born 22 March 2002) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Brisbane with pick 18 in the 2020 AFL draft.

Thewlis is a key forward known for his strong marking and accurate goal kicking. He played his junior football for the Sandringham Dragons in the NAB League and represented Vic Metro at the AFL Under 18 Championships.

He made his AFL debut in Round 2 of the 2021 season against the Geelong Cats. In his debut game, he kicked one goal. He has since become a regular member of the Brisbane Lions' forward line.

As of late 2023, Thewlis continues to be a developing talent for the Brisbane Lions, showing promise as a key target in their attacking end.
