Ficelle
A ficelle (French for "string") is a type of French bread, similar to a baguette but typically thinner and shorter. It is characterized by its slender shape, a crisp crust, and a light, airy interior with a pronounced flavor due to its high crust-to-crumb ratio. Often used for sandwiches or served alongside cheeses and pates, a ficelle provides a delightful textural contrast when enjoyed with a variety of accompaniments. Because of its small size, a ficelle tends to stale more quickly than a full-sized baguette.
