MS Stavangerfjord (2013)
The MS Stavangerfjord is a cruiseferry owned and operated by the Norwegian shipping company Fjord Line. Launched in 2013, it is one of two identical sister ships (the other being MS Bergensfjord) that serve the routes between Norway and Denmark. These vessels are notable for being among the first cruiseferries powered entirely by liquefied natural gas (LNG), making them more environmentally friendly than ships powered by traditional heavy fuel oil.
The Stavangerfjord provides a combination of passenger and freight services. Passenger facilities include a range of cabins, restaurants, bars, and entertainment options. The ship offers daily connections between Bergen, Stavanger, and Hirtshals. The introduction of the Stavangerfjord and its sister ship marked a significant investment in Fjord Line's fleet and a commitment to reducing emissions in the shipping industry.
