Matt Young (outfielder)

Matt Young is a former professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for parts of two seasons, 1986 and 1987, for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Young was drafted by the Dodgers in the 3rd round of the 1982 MLB draft. He spent several years in the minor leagues before making his major league debut in 1986. He primarily played as a reserve outfielder, appearing in 14 games in 1986 and 4 games in 1987. During his brief MLB career, he recorded a limited number of at-bats and had a low batting average. After his time with the Dodgers, he continued playing in the minor leagues.
