Lola T616

The Lola T616 was a Group C sports prototype racing car built by Lola Racing Cars in 1985. It was designed to compete in the IMSA GTP championship in North America. The T616 was powered by a Mazda 13B rotary engine prepared by Racing Beat. While generally fast, the car suffered from reliability issues that hampered its success. It achieved a few podium finishes but never won a race in IMSA GTP competition. The T616 design was subsequently adapted for other chassis, notably the T610.
