Li Chao (footballer)

Li Chao (born July 27, 1987) is a Chinese professional footballer who currently plays for Inner Mongolia Caoshangfei in the China League Two.

Li Chao began his football career playing for Bayi Football Team's youth academy before joining Shanghai Zobon in 2006. He would gradually establish himself within the team and help them achieve promotion to the Chinese Super League in 2008. After the club was relegated at the end of the 2008 season and then dissolved, Li Chao transferred to Nanchang Bayi Hengyuan in 2009. He remained with the club as it moved to Shanghai and was renamed Shanghai Shenxin.

In 2016, Li Chao transferred to China League One side Meizhou Hakka. He then joined Inner Mongolia Caoshangfei in 2020.

Li Chao typically plays as a defender.
