Les Allen
Les Allen (born 1937) is an English former professional footballer who played as a forward.
Allen began his career with Chelsea in 1954, though he did not make a first-team appearance for them. He moved to Coventry City in 1959 and then to Queens Park Rangers in 1961, where he was a prolific goalscorer. He holds the QPR record for most goals scored in a single season, netting 37 league goals in the 1966-67 season. During that same season, he was a key member of the QPR team that won the League Cup, defeating West Bromwich Albion 3-2 in the final.
He later played for Swindon Town, and Brighton & Hove Albion. After retiring from professional football, Allen remained involved in the sport, working in various coaching and scouting roles.
