Leon Ford

Leon Ford (born March 14, 1993) is an American activist and public speaker focused on issues of racial justice, police brutality, and criminal justice reform. He gained prominence after being shot multiple times by police officers during a traffic stop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2012. The incident left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Ford's case drew significant media attention and sparked protests calling for accountability and police reform. After several legal proceedings, including mistrials and dismissals, Ford reached a settlement with the city of Pittsburgh.
