Lee Ving

Lee Ving (born Lee Richard Capallaro, March 10, 1950) is an American musician and actor, best known as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the Los Angeles-based hardcore punk band, Fear.

Ving formed Fear in 1977, and the band gained notoriety for their confrontational and often deliberately offensive lyrics and performances. Fear's appearance on Saturday Night Live in 1981, at the invitation of guest host Donald Pleasence, is particularly well-remembered for its chaotic and destructive nature, contributing significantly to the band's cult status and influencing the punk scene.

Beyond his work with Fear, Ving has also been involved in several other musical projects, including a blues-oriented band called Range War, and has released solo material.

In addition to his music career, Ving has appeared in numerous films and television shows, often playing tough or antagonistic characters. Some notable film credits include Flashdance (1983), Streets of Fire (1984), Clue (1985), and Black Sheep (1996). He has also made guest appearances on television shows such as Miami Vice, Law & Order, and Entourage.

Ving's distinctive gravelly voice and stage presence have made him a recognizable figure in both the music and acting worlds. He is considered a significant figure in the history of American hardcore punk.
