Le Tote

Le Tote was a clothing rental subscription service, primarily operating online. Subscribers would receive a selection of clothing and accessories chosen based on their style profile, which they could wear for a specified period and then return. The company offered different subscription tiers, allowing customers to receive varying numbers of items per shipment.

The service aimed to provide a convenient and affordable way for individuals to refresh their wardrobes without the commitment of purchasing items outright. Le Tote handled the laundry and dry cleaning of returned items.

Originally focused on women's fashion, Le Tote later expanded to include men's clothing rentals and maternity wear. In 2019, Le Tote acquired Lord & Taylor, a department store chain. However, Le Tote filed for bankruptcy in 2020. The Lord & Taylor brand was later sold, and Le Tote's core rental business was acquired by another company and subsequently shut down. The brand still exists as a technology solution provider within the fashion industry.
