Geašjávri

Geašjávri is a lake located in Norway. It is situated in the municipality of Kautokeino, in Finnmark county. The lake is part of the Alta-Kautokeino river system. Geašjávri is known for its relatively clear water and is a popular spot for fishing, particularly for trout and Arctic char. The surrounding landscape is characterized by birch forests and open tundra. The lake is an important part of the traditional Sami reindeer herding area, providing water and grazing land for the animals. Its name, "Geašjávri," is of Sami origin and translates roughly to "Summer Lake" or "Lake Used in Summer."
