Judy Foote

Judy Foote (born July 29, 1952) is a Canadian politician from Newfoundland and Labrador. She represented the riding of Random—Burin—St. George's in the House of Commons of Canada from 2008 to 2017, as a member of the Liberal Party.

Foote served in various cabinet positions under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, including Minister of Public Services and Procurement from 2015 to 2017. During her tenure as Minister, she oversaw major government procurement projects.

Prior to her federal political career, Foote served in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly, representing the district of Grand Bank from 1996 to 2007. She held several ministerial portfolios in the provincial government, including Minister of Industry, Trade and Rural Development, Minister of Development and Rural Renewal, and Minister of Education.

Foote announced her resignation from federal politics in April 2017 to spend more time with her family.
