Jason Johnson (Jamaican footballer)

Jason Johnson (born December 15, 1990, Kingston, Jamaica – died March 18, 2018, Kingston, Jamaica) was a Jamaican professional footballer who played as a forward.

Career

Johnson played college soccer for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he was a standout player. He was drafted by the Houston Dynamo in the third round of the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft. He also played for the Chicago Fire and San Antonio Scorpions. Johnson represented Jamaica at the international level, earning caps for the national team.

Death

Jason Johnson died on March 18, 2018, after being involved in a car accident in Kingston, Jamaica.
