Alsenz (river)
The Alsenz is a river in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a left tributary of the Nahe. The Alsenz rises in Enkenbach-Alsenborn and flows generally south through the Alsenz valley. Towns along its course include Winnweiler, Alsenz (from which it derives its name), and Ebernburg. It joins the Nahe in Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg. The river is approximately 57 kilometers (35 miles) long. The Alsenz valley is known for its vineyards and is a popular destination for hiking and cycling.
