Laukuva
Laukuva is a small town located in the Šilalė district municipality, in western Lithuania. It is situated on the Lokysta River.
Historically, Laukuva is known for its significant Jewish community which existed prior to World War II. The town suffered greatly during the Holocaust.
Modern Laukuva is primarily an agricultural center with some local businesses. The town features a church, a school, and other basic amenities. Its population is relatively small. The surrounding area consists primarily of farmland and forests.
