Erin Bow
Erin Bow (born in Missouri) is a Canadian author of young adult fiction and children's literature, known for her science fiction, fantasy, and realistic fiction works. Her writing often features strong character development, speculative elements, and explorations of themes such as identity, loss, and the relationship between humans and nature.
Bow's notable works include Plain Kate (2010), a fantasy novel set in a historical Eastern European-inspired setting; Sorrow's Knot (2013), a paranormal thriller; and The Scorpion Rules (2015), a science fiction novel dealing with artificial intelligence and the preservation of humanity. The Scorpion Rules was a Governor General's Award finalist and won the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award. She has also written the stand-alone fantasy novel Stand on the Sky (2019).
