Sergey Stepanov (musician)

Sergey Stepanov (born September 3, 1984) is a Moldovan musician best known as the saxophone player for the SunStroke Project. He represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 and 2017.

Stepanov gained international recognition as the "Epic Sax Guy" following SunStroke Project's performance of "Run Away" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. His energetic saxophone solo became an internet meme, generating numerous remixes, parodies, and covers. He is recognized for his distinctive saxophone playing and stage presence.

He again represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, this time with the song "Hey, Mamma!", where SunStroke Project achieved third place.

Prior to his Eurovision appearances, Stepanov was active in the Moldovan music scene. He continues to perform with SunStroke Project and participates in various musical events and collaborations.
