Chris Jennings (gridiron football)
Chris Jennings (born July 27, 1982) is a former professional gridiron football running back. He played college football at Arizona and Carson-Newman.
Jennings began his professional career in the National Football League (NFL) with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He was subsequently signed by the New York Giants. He was later released by the Giants and signed to the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
After his time in the NFL, Jennings played in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Edmonton Eskimos in 2007. He later played for the Ottawa Renegades in the same year. Jennings spent several seasons with the Montreal Alouettes (2007-2011) where he contributed to their Grey Cup victories in 2009 and 2010. He was known for his powerful running style and ability to break tackles. After his stint with Montreal, Jennings signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2012. He was released by the Blue Bombers in 2013.
