Roger (footballer, born 1978)
Roger Galera Flores (born August 7, 1978), commonly known as Roger, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
Roger began his professional career with Fluminense in Brazil. He gained prominence playing for Corinthians, where his performances attracted attention from European clubs. He had a brief spell with Benfica in Portugal before returning to Brazil.
Throughout his career, Roger played for a number of prominent Brazilian clubs, including Flamengo, Grêmio, Botafogo, and Athletico Paranaense. He was known for his technical skill, passing ability, and vision on the field. He was also a capable free-kick taker.
While he was considered a talented player, Roger's career was sometimes marked by inconsistency and injuries. He did not achieve the international recognition that some had predicted for him early in his career.
